Stratford University wins Regional Title for Enactus USA Competition

March 29, 2016
Washington, DC

Our Enactus students’ organization participated in Washington DC for 2016 regional competition. There were around 50 teams of 10-20 students in each team from Maine, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Hampshire, New Jersey, and New York, representing schools such as Penn State, University of Virginia, Old Dominion, and Rutgers. Due to extraordinary circumstances, student Kyle Brocht was the only student to represent our school. Instead of forfeiting, Brocht chose to compete by himself and present to the best of his abilities the projects we develop on campus. Brocht not only stood as a sole representative to our projects before a panel of 15 business executives, but also received standing ovations from the assembled students, business leaders, faculty, and Enactus USA representatives for his courage and dedication to his school.

The real celebration came when Brocht's outstanding performance earned Stratford University the Regional Champion trophy, qualifying our Enactus chapter for the 2016 National Competition.

Enactus brings together a diverse network of university students, academic professionals and industry leaders around the shared mission of creating a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business. Stratford’s Enactus team is one of more than 500 Enactus teams in the United States. Take a look at what our Enactus Team at Stratford University has to offer.

Congratulations, Kyle!
