GI Bill® Benefits

  • www.gibill.va.gov -- This is the official government GI Bill web site. It describes all educational benefits provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs. This website can be used for all programs. It can be used to calculate your benefits under the Montgomery or Post-9/11 GI Bill.
  • Veterans On-line Application (VONAPP) -- The is the official online application for applying for all educational benefits. This must be completed in order to receive your Certificate of Eligibility. You must decide which GI Bill you plan to use for your education before completing this form.
  • www.newgibill.gov. -- This is best benefits calculator for computing your benefits under the Post-9/11 GI Bill. It was created by The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, a non-profit organization chartered to support our veterans.
  • BAH Calculator -- This is the Basic Allowance for Housing calculator used for computing your housing allowance under the Post-9/11 GI Bill. If you are eligible for 100% of the benefits under this bill, your allowance is equal to that of an E-5 with Dependents living in the same zip code as your school.

Tuition Assistance

  • Air Force Portal -- Air Force personnel can request TA online using the Air Force Portal.
  • GoArmyEd -- Active duty soldiers can request TA online using GoArmyEd. Don't forget that you must submit an annual TA Statement of Understanding (SOU) to your Army Education Counselor with your Commander’s signature.
  • WEBS -- Army Reserve personnel can apply for TA through WEBS (Web Enabled Benefit System) using their Army Knowledge Online (AKO) user name and password.
  • Minuteman -- Army National Guard can apply for benefits through the Minuteman website using their Common Access Card (CAC).
  • NETPDTC-1560/3 -- Navy and Marine personnel must complete and submit the NETPDTC-1560 Form to their Education Office prior to the start of the term. This TA Application Form may be submitted via email, fax or in person.
  • CG-4147 -- Coast Guard personnel must complete and submit the CG-4147 Form to the Education Office prior to the start of the term. This TA Application Form may be submitted via email, fax or in person.
