Applying to Stratford University

Rolling admissions....five starts each calendar year - it is never too late to apply!

After you have selected Stratford University and have determined that you meet the entrance requirements, enrollment is a simple process.

Required Document Submission

You must submit the following documents to Stratford University. These documents are used to establish your academic potential and evaluate your ability to pay for your educational program.

  • Application for Admission
  • Academic transcripts
  • Proof of language proficiency
  • GRE or GMAT test scores (for graduate school only)
  • Proof of financial support
  • Copy of passport
  • Application fee (US $50).

You should keep the originals to present during your Embassy visit. You may initially send photocopies to Stratford University. You must provide original documents to Stratford University after your arrival in the United States. Graduate students transferring from other accredited institutions are not required to submit GRE or GMAT scores.

Acceptance Criteria

Stratford has not established pre-defined GRE or GMAT cut-off scores. The application package is reviewed as a whole (transcripts, test scores, work experience, life achievements) to determine your potential for academic success. Undergraduate students are not required to submit standardized academic test scores. Proof of financial support requires that you have sufficient funds to pay your first academic year's expenses.

You must demonstrate language proficiency by taking either a TOEFL or IELTS language test. The cut-off score for TOEFL is 79 (IBT) or 213 (CBT). The cut-off for IELTS is 6.5-band. This requirement is waived if your native language is English or if you have obtained a degree in an English-speaking country.

If you do not meet the language proficiency requirements, you will be required to attend an ESL program prior to starting your academic courses. If you graduate from the Stratford ESL Program, your TOEFL or IELTS test requirement is waived.

Notification of Acceptance

After review of your academic and financial documents, Stratford will issue a letter of acceptance and Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20). Expect to receive your I-20 in three to four weeks. Make certain to apply early so you have time to secure your Student Visa.
