    • Netscape 6.1 (Download)
      • As good as MS Internet Exploer
      • Has crashed twice on my computer in last two weeks
      • Requires “activation." You are not required to join AOL, but the suggestion is strong.
      • Cookie management (deletion button)
      • Four to five crashes a week, some printer problems
      • Excellent display, somewhat sluggish.
      • Better than 4.76, so I have upgraded.
    • Internet Explorer 6.0 (Download)
      • Supports Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P), a standard that the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
        • However, most sites don't support P3P yet
      • Same interface and performance as 5.5
      • Does not require activation or log onto PassPort
      • Cookie management (deletion button)
      • Very stable and fast, so I have upgraded.

      • Tech Talk believe that this will eliminate competition at the local level and make the Baby Bells even harder to work with.
      • No kudos here.
  • Apple News
    • Mac OsX update (Mac 10.1) released September 29th
      • DVD and CD burner support
      • Faster launch (2 to 3 times faster)
      • Window resizing and menu display five times faster
      • Toolbar Dock can now be moved from bottom of screen
    • Macs ship with both Os9 and OsX (not enough apps, for X yet, about 1400
    • Apps include Office V.X
    • OsX is based on Unix BSD. It is a graphical user interface running on a unix box.
    • Very stable.  This will be an excellent platform for Apple.
  • e-Dating Game for Seniors given thumbs up by AARP

    • Harkens back to the past when people got to know each other through letters

  • Removing Your "Surfing Tracks" from Internet Explorer
    • Information is stored in four ways (Site History, File Cache, Cookies, and Auto Complete)
    • To remove History information
      • Open Internet Explorer and select Tools from Menu
      • Click "Internet Options....". to open Internet Options Windows
      • Select the General Tab in the Internet Option window, then press the "Clear History" button.
      • Note: You can also reach the Internet Options windows from the Control Panel
    • To remove the Temporary File Cache
      • Go the the Internet Options Windows as before, select the General Tab
      • Press the the "Delete Files" button in the "Temporary Internet Files" section.
    • To remove the Auto Complete Information
      • Go the the Internet Options Windows as before, select the Content Tab
      • Press the Autocomplete Section in the Personal Information section
      • In the Autocomplete Window, press "Clear Forms" and "Clear Passwords" in the "Clear Autocomplete History" Section
    • To remove Cookies
      • Cookies must be manually removed in Internet Explorer 5.5 and earlier
        • Go to Start, Programs, Windows Explorer
        • Using Windows Explorer, select subdirectory "Windows\Temporary Internet Files"
        • Delete all files with "Cookie" in the name
      • Cookies can be easily removed in Internet Explorer 6.0 and above.
        • Go to Internet Options Window as before
        • Select General Tab and press "Delete Cookies" in the "Temporary Internet Files" section
