| Bill Gates Testifies In Court | | | A calm and collected Bill Gates testified before Judge
Colleen Kollar-Kotelly. He kept his cool even when
challenged. Bill steadfastly maintained that the states'
requirement to separate Windows components would
destroy it. However, he was forced to concede, during
cross examination, that the Windows XP Embedded OS
is already decoupled. Both sides claimed victory.

| Online Personal Privacy Bill is Flawed | | | Sponsored by Sen. Fritz Hollings (D-SC), this bill
defines "sensitive" and "non-sensitive" information. It
permits the collection and sale of "non-sensitive"
information and legitimizes the use of spyware. This bill
does not really protect the consumers. Tech Talk
recommends that the Bill be canned.

| W32.Klez Worm Now Category 4 Threat | | | W32.Klez.gen@mm is a mass-mailing worm that
searches the Windows address book for email
addresses and sends messages to all recipients that it
finds. The worm uses its own SMTP engine to send the
messages. The subject and attachment name of
incoming emails is randomly chosen. The attachment
will have one of the following
extensions: .bat, .exe, .pif
or .scr. Symantec has upgraded this threat to Level 4
because of its widespread deployment. Update your
