There could be situations when the students are not able to complete their course work by the end of the quarter, in which case the student may request an "I" (Incomplete) grade and extension to complete the required coursework within a specified timeframe.

A student issued with an Incomplete grade is normally required to make up any incomplete course work within five weeks (it is the instructor’s discretion to decide the deadline for submission of any incomplete coursework). If the work is not completed and approved by the instructor within the specified period, the grade converts from an “I” to F. The “I” grade is a penalty grade that is calculated as F until substituted by a letter grade. Incomplete courses count as credits attempted without credits earned for purposes of satisfactory academic progress.

The student may initiate the process by filling out the “Request for Incomplete Grade Form”.
