The School of Health Sciences offers degrees in the field of health sciences with concentrations in medical assisting, clinical hemodialysis technology, EKG-phlebotomy technology, medical insurance billing and coding, pharmacy technician, and health care administration. Students can begin with an Associate's degree and progress through the Bachelor level.

The School of Health Sciences has created degree programs which are designed to give students the skills and knowledge required for entry into the health science field. All degrees include both laboratory and classroom activities. Students learn the material through hands-on assignments in the labs, case studies, and problem solving exercises. The goal is to teach students to reason out problems through disciplined thinking rather than just memorize the fact. Such critical thinking activities will ensure our graduates move up quickly in their chosen field.
Students study the structure and function of the major body systems in conjunction with medical terminology. Students receive training and hands-on practice in clinical hemodialysis, electrocardiography, to include interpretations of arrhythmias, different venipuncture procedures, comprehensive medical billing and coding, dispensing medications, administrative skills, measuring vital signs, assisting with clinical procedures as well as infection control.

All faculty have earned Master's, PhD's, Medical Degrees. The faculty includes instructors with years of industry experience who are able to teach not only the underlying theory, but also the competencies demanded by employers.

Scheduling Flexibility
Residential classes are offered day, evening, and weekends to match your busy schedule. All residential classes are blended with a portion of the course delivered online to reduce the time in the classroom. You can complete a class in only ten weeks and start your program five times a year. The accelerated programs at Stratford University allow students to finish a Bachelors degree in 30 months or a Masters degree in 15 months.
