Examination of Student Records
Stratford University has established procedures which protect the accuracy and integrity of all student records. In all cases students are afforded the right to privacy as dictated by law.
Records are supervised by the Registrar, and access is afforded appropriate personnel for purposes of recording grades, attendance and counseling, as well as determining financial aid eligibility.
Students may request a review of their record by writing the Registrar or his/her representative. Such a review will be allowed during regular University hours under appropriate supervision. A copy of the records may be obtained for a $1.00 fee for each page.
Challenging the record for purposes of correcting or deleting any of the contents must be done in writing with the reason fully stated. Challenges must he made no later than 30 days after the receipt of transcript.
Name, address, telephone number, date and place of birth, program undertaken, dates of attendance and certificates, diplomas and degrees awarded may be provided to third parties unless the request to omit such information is presented in writing within ten days of enrollment.
Parental access to a dependent student's records will be allowed without prior consent if the student is a dependent as defined in Section 152 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954.
All records are maintained in perpetuity according to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974.
