Campus Safety & Security
The security and safety of each student and school employee is of utmost importance. All students and Stratford University employees are encouraged to be responsible for their own security and the security of others. The following is the current policy concerning college security procedures and practices.
- Only students, school employees, and authorized personnel are permitted on Stratford University premises during stipulated hours.
- All guests must sign in with the receptionist.
- All students of Stratford University will be informed about crime prevention measures during Orientation.
- Educational workshops relating to substance abuse are available for all students and employees. All students and employees are strongly encouraged to participate in these training sessions.
- All employees of Stratford University are to be acquainted with proper security of and access to the school.
- Criminal actions or other emergencies occurring at the Institute must be first reported to the Instructor, second to the Campus Director. If a perpetrator is suspected, a hearing will be scheduled and the police will be notified if appropriate.
- The University will take appropriate measures to maintain the safety and security of all individuals. The Institute may suspend or dismiss a student in violation of actions in accordance with the polices stipulated in the Institute's catalog. Again, if deemed appropriate, a report will be made to the local police.
- To prevent crime, all employees and staff are encouraged to report ALL crimes accurately and promptly.
- The University will make timely reports to students and employees on crimes considered to be a threat to other students and employees that are reported to the University's authorities and local law/police agencies.
- The University will distribute to current students and employees an annual security report containing certain statistics, policies, and a description of programs that promote campus safety and information about the availability of this report.
- The accident and fire evacuation plans and policies will be followed and evaluated annually.
- The Campus Security report is available in the admissions office or financial aid office to all interested parties.
