School of Nursing

Stratford’s School of Nursing focuses on innovation; science and theory of nursing; the use of emerging healthcare technology; and a commitment to producing dedicated patient advocates. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the need for Registered Nurses (RNs) will grow by 26% by 2020. This growing demand translates into exciting career opportunities for you. Our programs fully prepare you for the nursing profession, leadership roles, and subsequent graduate study.

Our campuses in Tysons Corner and Woodbridge, VA are located in close proximity to some of the most advanced and fastest-growing healthcare facilities in the region, offering potential opportunities for preceptorships and - ultimately - employment to put you at the top of your game.

Small class sizes and a favorable student-to-teacher ratio encourage collaboration and the sharing of knowledge between instructors and students. Classrooms are equipped for optimal hands-on lab activities. Our facilities also feature the latest in simulation technology to enable training on a broad range of healthcare procedures, emergencies, and assessments.

Our Nursing programs offer sound clinical knowledge, interdisciplinary insight, and a holistic approach to patient care. This program keeps you well versed in the latest developments and trends in healthcare and the latest scientific knowledge giving you the confidence to work in a variety of healthcare settings. Graduates from Stratford's School of Nursing are eligible to sit for the Virginia State Licensing Board Exam, which provides multi-state practice privileges.

I can now say that I truly love what I do, and it's all thanks to you guys! I have always been proud of the education I received at Stratford. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication you guys gave me throughout those four years. My patients benefit every shift because of it, and there is no way I would be the nurse I am today without all of the support I received as a Stratford student. From the bottom of my heart... THANK YOU!
