Stratford University assists Richmond Veterans Center with Black History Program

Stratford University catered an event at the Richmond Veterans Center Feb. 23, 2016. The event, a Black History program, recognized the achievements of African –Americans throughout the U.S. Military History. The event also touched on areas such as literature and music. Afterwards, the more than 30 people were able to enjoy a dinner provided by Stratford University’s Glen Allen Campus. “Being able to come out here and support the Richmond Veterans Center is just one of the many missions of military outreach”, said Military Outreach Coordinator Ricky Allen. “Getting the word out about Stratford University in the military community begins with helping our Veterans.”

Mark Potts who serves as the Team Leader at the Richmond Veterans Center was very appreciative of Stratford Support. He summed it up in three words: “It was awesome”.
