FAIRFAX, Va. – (Jan 29, 2014)
Stratford University is now enrolling students for their Alexandria Branch Campus, which is scheduled to open March 2014. The new campus will be located at 2900 Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria, Va. 22314. Interested students can meet faculty and staff, and inquire about admissions at the temporary office located next to the permanent location at 2760 Eisenhower Ave. Suite 210, Alexandria Va., 22314.

As one of the newest campuses in the Washington, D.C. metro area, Stratford University offers a master’s degrees in Business Administration, Information Assurance and International Hospitality Management; bachelor’s degrees in Information Technology, Culinary Management, Hospitality Management, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, RN to BSN (online only); and associates degrees in Advanced Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, and Medical Assisting. All classes can be taken in-class or through a hybrid of online and in-class participation.
Stratford University’s curriculum is project-based and involves a critical thinking component that gives students the edge when tackling complex work-place challenges.
“We are excited about our expansion into the Alexandria community,” Dr. James Flaggert, Stratford University Chief Academic Officer, said. “This location allows us to deliver our suite of competency-based education programs to those working adults who desire new or further skill development and who work and live in the area.”
The new Alexandria branch campus is 60,000 square feet and will feature a career services center, student services center, multi-tiered auditorium, learning resources center, four commercial kitchens, four allied health labs, three computer labs, and large dining room.
According to Stratford University President Dr. Richard Shurtz, “Stratford chose the new location based on the current and future employment needs of the community, and the University as a whole is proud to help employers meet their needs for an educated and trained workforce.”
