Newport News Campus Hosts Veterans Seminar

Special Veteran's Seminar Hosted on Veteran's Day

In recognition of Veterans Day, the Newport News campus conducted a Veterans Seminar on campus Nov. 18, 2015. The guest speaker for the event was April A. Meisel, Eastern Regional Outreach Coordinator for the Virginia Department of Veterans Services. The event, which was attended by both visiting and military students, gave updates on different services that are available to Veterans in Hampton Roads. “Making sure our Veterans know the services that are available to them is our utmost priority,” said Military Outreach Coordinator Zollie Allmond. “The event is one of the many ways we educate our students in and out of the classroom.”.
