Chantee' Jiggetts is an Adjunct Instructor at Stratford University- Glen Allen campus. She brings 17 years of educational experience in Early Childhood Education and Psychology. She had obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at York College; Masters Degree in School Psychology at Long Island University; and is currently in her final stages of her doctorate degree from Walden University in Organizational Psychology. Her background experience also lies in therapy, standardize testing (Intelligence and Personality Tests), clinical assessments, crisis intervention, behavioral management, teacher training, curriculum development, research, and quality assurance. At the present time, Chantee' is employed at the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority as a Juvenile Competency Restoration Counselor where she trains and educates juveniles to competency to stand trial. She has been trained in Juvenile Forensic Services and has been training and mentoring new Restoration Counselors for the last three years.

Professor Eades teaches courses in mathematics at the Glen Allen campus. Having a BS in Mathematics and a MS in Theoretical Mathematics from Virginia Commonwealth University, Mr. Eades brings a wealth of knowledge in the mathematical sciences from fundamentals of math to higher math such as Finite math, Calculus with Analytical Geometry. He has taught for over 18 years and has designed curriculum, administered math and science departments, and managed a mathematics laboratory and tutoring center.

Erik Walton is a professor in the department of Arts and Sciences with a specialty in Mathematics. He obtained his B.A. in mathematics from Virginia Commonwealth University and his Masters of Teaching with a specialty in secondary math also from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has taught courses in algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, finite math and statistics. His main area of interest and study is graph theory.

Received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1983; a M.S. in Civil Engineering, computer-Aided Design from George Washington University in 1991; and a PhD in Information Technology from George Mason University in 2011. My dissertation area was Spatial Data Mining and my dissertation title was Statistical Determination of Spatial Outliers. I am currently the research officer for the US Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). Responsible for managing the ERDC basic reseach program to include program revies, selections, and evaluations. Previously, I was the Associate Technical Director for the Geospatial Research and Engineering business area responsible for its basic research program and Small Business Innovative Research program. I was also the principal investigator for the Determination of Outstanding Scenarios for Situational Awareness, Statistical Determination of Spatial Outliers, and Modeling of Spatial-Temporal Co-occurance Patterns basic research projects. I have been an instructor at Westwood College for Math classes (pre-algebra. College Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and Statistics/ Probability).

Karen Neal has over 10 years of combined experience in education and research in the fields of Biology and Genetics. Her main research focus is in molecular biology and has worked in laboratories with a variety of concentrations ranging from studying the genetic origin of cleft lip and palate, the effects of HB-EGF protein and the molecular mechanisms of corn epigenetics. She has been an adjunct professor of Biology within the Virginia Community College system and joined Stratford in the fall of 2010. She received a B.S. and M.S. degree in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed post graduate work at The Ohio State University.

Mia MacMeekin currently teaches business, ethics, healthcare law and courses related to Medicaid and Medicare. She has a passion for helping those in need. She focuses her law practice on helping elderly and special needs clients dealing with capacity issues, and volunteers her time at Senior Connections where she helps senior citizens with medicare issues. She also works with children who are being abused, neglected, or are subject to difficult divorce proceedings. She attended the College of William and Mary, Marshall Whyth School of Law and Western New England College, School of Law, where she received her JD. She holds a BA in legal studies from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is a certified mediator.

Professor Evans holds a BA in communication from Virginia Tech, a MS in General Human Services from Capella University, and is a PhD candidate in Psychology (ABD) at Capella with an expected completion date of Fall 2012. Professor Evans has taught psychology at multiple schools since 2003 including courses in Child Psychology, Introduction to Psychology, Developmental and Abnormal Psychology. She has taught both online and on campus as well as providing life and career coaching through the Virginia Statewide career coaching program. Her research specialty is Positive Psychology.

Ralph Thomas is a freelance and contract tutor in algebra I and II, calculus, geometry, pre-algebra and precalculus, as well as chemistry. In 2009 he exceeded his extended service guarantee and prepaid debit card account goals as a rookie tax associate at H&R Block. Prior to that he taught his clients the merits of capital risk management via the use of sector funds and stock purchase warrants as a senior financial consultant at First Wall Street Corporation. Before his financial services endeavors Thomas led an inter-departmental team that developed a viable patent search protocal for NAPP systems Inc. He received his doctorate from Northern Illinios University and bachelor's degree from Illinois Institute of Technology.

Roz Fuller received her Masters in Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Maryland Asian Division on Okinawa, Japan in 1991. From 1985 through 1999 she worked as a crisis and academic counselor for the Department of Defense Education Activity on Kadena Air Base, Okinawa Japan. She was responsible for developing the personal counseling model for the Department of Defense Schools overseas. Since returning to the United States she worked at the SEED Public Charter School in Washington, DC as the Director of Student Services. She currently serves as the Director of Housing and Familty Services with Community of Hope in Washington, DC.

Mr. Bloomquest is a professor and CPA has been in private corporate accounting for 26+ years with a concentration in the automotive industry. He has been the controller for automotive dealer groups much of this time and is currently the controller for a local Richmond Virginia automotive group with four separate locations. He has also owned and managed a successful family retail/manufacturing business that he turned over to one of his sons a few years back. He received his undergraduate BS in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and his masters is slated to be complete in 2011 from Strayer University. He looks forward to bringing his business experience and knowledge into the classroom to help his students grasp accounting concepts and to relate these concepts to real life and business situations.

Professor Vaught teaches in the graduate School of Business. Mr. Vaught is a retired Naval Officer having flown in the F-14 Tomcat and several other aircraft, both operationally and in developmental testing. He is a Project Management Professional, having earned the credential in 2003. He has worked at Altria, Capital One, Mondial Assistance, and the Commander in Chief, US Atlantic Fleet since retiring. He holds a B.S. in Physics from the U.S. Naval Academy as well as an M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. He continues to be active with the local chapter of the Project Management Institute, serving on the Certification Committee. He served as the VP for Certification from 2006 to 2007 when the chapter won an award from PMI Global for the best professional development program. He is deeply committed to his profession and spreading the word about the importance of project management. Mr. Vaught shares the Stratford ideals of competency-based education and sees the classroom as the grass roots effort to improving leadership and management in the field.

Ellie Cook is a professor in the School of Business specializing in financial management. She obtained her MBA from the University of Houston with a major in finance. She has been both a professor and an entrepreneur, having owned and operated her own business. In addition Professor Cook has extensive experience in major corporations such as IBM and ROLM. She brings a wealth of experience and excitement to her classes, providing students with practical experience and support.

Professor Cox's career spans over 40 years and three career paths. Upon graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Masters of Science in Business Administration from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (1965, 1966, respectively), he entered the US Air Force. During the ensuing 21 years, he was stationed in Europe, Asia and various areas within the United States. Upon retirement in 1987, he began a civilian career as a consultant to the Federal Aviation Administration which was followed by 10 years as a program manger for Unisys Corproation until his retirement from Unisys in 2008. He has over 15 years of program management experience. In addition, he began teaching at San Antonio College in 1963 as a adjunct econoics professor. His adjunct teaching continued at the University of Maryland University College in the Far East, Europe and Washington, DC. He has taughundergraduate and graduate courses in Marketing, Economics, Personnel Management, Management and other business courses at St. Leo College, Golden Gate University, Christopher Newport University, the College of William and Mary and Capital College.

John Randall is the Program Coordinator for the undergraduate education in the College of Business. Mr. Randall brings more than fifty years of insights and experience as an entrepreneur and corporate intrapreneur to his students. In addition to teaching at the Glen Allen campus, Professor Randall is an author, speaker, content expert, training developer and highly diversified management, business and technical consultant and adviser. He spent twenty years in the competitive corporate environments of Mobil, Corning, Celanese and Olin, and experienced rapid career progression in staff, line, and special project assignments. An intrapreneur within these entities, he was awarded three commercially viable U.S. patents, including a cigarette filter used in Europe by Pall Mall in early the '70's, machinery to make the cigarette filter, and a recovery system for toxic and corrosive liquids (a significant international product now used to recover more than a dozen such chemicals). He also created spreadsheet software in the late 70's for optimization of business operating parameters, and has since created hundreds of spreadsheet systems for a wide range of private business applications.

Kevin Nanna, a professor in both Hospitality and Business, is a seasoned entrepreneur and educator and continues to be passionate about both. He obtained his B.A. in Communications from Wayne State University and his M.B.A. from Middle Tennessee State University. His career spans 17 years. He has been an instructor/administrator at the Hiroshima College of Foreign Languages in Hiroshima, Japan and owner/operator of three successful restaurants in Hiroshima, Japan. Two years ago he returned to education in order to help others pursue their goals and dreams. Kevin currently teaches for both the University of Phoenix and Stratford University. He is proud that he can bring a combination of real world business experience and teaching experience to the classroom and begins his PhD coursework in Adult Education Leadership later this year.

Dr. Mayfield is the Program Coordinator and teaches for the Graduate School of Business. He has over 38 year's nuclear and natural gas turbine combined cycle power generation experience in the energy sector including financial management, propulsion engineering, project management, quality assurance, environmental engineering and organizational training; and eleven years operating combined cycle power generation plants improving operational processes and customer service using Six Sigma, Lean Engineering, Kaizen teams and TRIZ decision-making tools. Dr. Mayfield is the author of Actionable Intelligence book discussing knowledge management, organizational learning, cultural diversity, competitive advantage, and strategic planning. Thirteen years instructing college curricula chemical and nuclear engineering, physics and advanced mathematics for Naval Reactors.

Tara Glover serves as an adjunct faculty member of Stratford's Business Department. Ms. Glover has a Bachelor of Arts from the college of new rochelle where she majored in Communications. In addition, she holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College. Ms. Glover serves as teh Case Analyst of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and has over 13 years of Federal Court experience. She has extensive experience with teaching; developing and implementing training programs; preparing statistics; and quality control. Ms. Glover has specialized in case management; database development; and implementation of policies and procedures regarding the court's case management/ electronic case filing project.

Chef Macias has been working with Aramark food service most recently at VCU as the executive pastry chef and overseeing the bakeshop there. Before he came to Aramark, he was the Executive Chef at CulinArt Inc. in Santa Ana California where he was responsible for the in house catering and the executive meals. He is also a Veteran of the United States Navy, during his time in the Navy, he was responsible for the Captain's Mess aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz He attended Johnson & Wales University where he received his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. He also attended the Art Institute where he earned his Bachelors degree in Culinary Management.

Chef Howell has a long career in the foodservice industry, working for ten years as a bartender and manager of various restaurants in Virginia. In 2003, he enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, where he studied baking and pastry arts. While attending school, Ben furthered his education by working at a small bakery in Rhinebeck, NY. He also took an externship at Mohonk Mountain House, and continued to work there part-time throughout the remainder of his schooling. In March of 2005, Ben graduated first in his class from the CIA with an Associate of Occupational Studies in Baking and Pastry Arts. Upon graduation, Ben relocated to Richmond, Virginia, where he began working at the Jefferson Hotel as lead pastry cook. Ben left the Jefferson in 2009 as the executive pastry chef. He is currently the executive pastry chef at the Country Club of Virginia, where he has been since 2009. In September of 2011, Ben began teaching baking and pastry classes at Stratford University.

Name: Charleen Huebner

Chef Charleen Huebner is originally from Smithtown, New York. She graduated from Long Island Univeristy at CW Post with a BA in Foreign Language. In 1993 she earned an AOS degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America and returned the same year to obtain a degree in Baking and Pastry. Upon graduation, she went to work for the Frenchman's Reef Hotel in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. After returning to the States, Chef Huebner moved to Washington, DC where she worke at Cafe/Patisserie Didier in Georgetown. In 1995 she went to the Ritz Carlton at Pentagon City working various positions from Garde Manager to Pastry for six years. Chef Huebner went on to become the Executive Chef at Splendid Fare Catering Comapny. She joined forces with her classmate, Chef James Sinopoli, in a joint venture called Chef of the Hill, a boutique catering/personal chef business. Chef Huebner is a member of Women for Women International, an organization that helps women survivors of war move from crises and poverty to self-sufficiency. Chef Huebner has been with Stratford University for the past four years.

Chef Brown is the Program Coordinator for the schools of Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry at the Richmond campus. He attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence Rhode Island for his undergraduate degree, and Le Cordon Bleu in Paris France. He is currently working towards his MBA with Stratford. Chef Brown's background is in fine dining, hotels, and private clubs. He has done several successful restaurant openings in New England.

Jan Bandula, C.M.P.C W.G.M.C C.C.E., is a Senior Pastry Chef Instructor, and one of only 13 certified Master Pastry Chefs in the United States. A native Poland, Chaf Bandula began studying culinary arts at the age of 14, and worked in Vienna, Austria before coming to the U.S. in 1974. Before he became an instructor, Chef Bandula served as the executive pastry chef at the Cross Keys Hotel, the Baltimore Hilton Hotel, and the Pimlico Hotel, all in Baltimore, Maryland. He has created speciality desserts for Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan, made a birthday cake for former Maryland Governor William Schaefer, and created a welcome cake for the Baltimore visit of Pope John Paul II. Chef Bandula has been honored by the Baltimore Culinary Salon, the American Culinary Federation (ACF), and the ACF's Judge's Panel. He was named Chef of the Year by the ACF Greater Baltimore Chapter in 1988 and 2004, and server as Chapter President from 1998 to 2002. Since 2002, he has held the position of Chairman of the Board for the ACF Greater Baltimore Chapter, and was recently featured in the Baltimore Sun newspaper's "Inspiring Minds" series about inspirational college instructors. Intructor of the year 1991 and Faculty Member of the Year in 2011.

Chef Jennifer Freeman is a pastry chef instructor at the Woodbridge Campus. She earned her Associates in Baking & Pastry Arts from Johnson and Wales, then went on to earn her Bachelors degree in Marketing and Management from George Mason University. She has worked at various locations including cafes, bakeries and country clubs and has experience as a recruiter.

Chef Miller is originally from the Cleveland, Ohio area; which is where he first began working in the Foodservice industry as a dishwasher. After a few months he progressed into line cook and ultimately a manager. He then relocated to Norfolk, Virginia in the Fall of '99; to attend Johnson & Wales University where he graduated with his Associates in Culinary Arts '01 and his Bachelors in Foodservice Management '03 as third in his class both times. He was heavily involved with the college and extra curriculars and won several awards and recognitions. He became the Executive Chef of Cypress Cove Country Club in Franklin, VA; outside Norfolk, at 23. After nearly three years there he moved on to work with Compass Group: Eurest Dining at the Jefferson Laboratory in Newport News. He quickly transitioned his position into the Culinary Champion for the district and traveled Virginia, DC, and Maryland, assisting to open new accounts. After two years, he began working for his ala matre in Charlotte, as the Specialty Culinary Demonstrator, where he traveled the entire east coast (Indiana to Tennessee to Maryland to Georgia). His passion for teaching was exacerbated during his tenure with the college and secured his first fulltime teaching position in Summer '09 at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. He began working for Stratford University in Feb. '11. He truly has a passion for teaching and providing insight and knowledge to students. He is also currently enrolled in the Pastry Arts program at J. Sargeant, 9 credits shy of his Masters degree in Education and Teaching (expected Summer '12) and on his CEC certification. He expects to open his own Culinary school in his late 40's and will retire operating a food truck travelling the country. He loves sports, writing, working out, and keeping busy.

Joe, a native of New England, was influenced by his parents and various Italian aunts and uncles to have a deep appreciation of great food. He spent much of his youth cooking for friends and family. Joe attended Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI. He graduated Magna cum Laude in 1993 and was amember of the silver key honor society. After graduation, he worked up from Sous Chef to Head Chef at Clearwaters Restuarant in Connecticut. After Clearwaters, Joe joined Hay Day Markets/Balducci's in Westport, CT as the Executive Chef, then was promoted to Store Manager. He made his way down to Virginia in 2002 and moved to the corporate side of the company, where he became the company purchinging agent. Joe has been at Stratford University since January 2007.

Chef Petfield is the baking and pastry chef at the Richmond Campus. She owns and operates Lana's Custom Desserts in Midlothian, Virginia, selling gourmet baked items, designs wedding cakes, and caters events. Chef Petfield has her bachelor's degree in Food Service Entrepreneurship and an AA in Baking and Pastry Arts from Johnson & Wales University. She has been featured in numerous magazines.

Chef Noree Hatheway has an extensive background in the Pastry Arts. She was the Executive Pastry Chef at a high end hotel in Pentagon City. She first earned her Bachelors degree in Government, then later attended L'Academie de Cuisine for Pastry Arts. Throughout her career, she became very knowledgeable about various pastry techniques, including chocolate and sugar work.

Chef Gradwell is a native Richmonder and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of American October of 2003. After graduating from culinary school he helped out as a long term substitute for the high school culinary arts program that he had taken, that is when he knew that he wanted to teach. He has shaped his career to be able to grain the ability to instruct others as quickly as possible. He has worked in country clubs, namely Farmington, Keswick, and Stonehenge. Also has worked in some notable Richmond restaurants like the Downtown club of Richmond and Tobacco Company Restaurant. Chef Gradwell believes that the best chefs are proficient in all aspects of the restaurant business and has made sure to spend time working in the front of the house as a bartender and server in both formal dining rooms and informal club grills. Chef Gradwell believes that you never stop learning and tries to learn something new each day. He is currently finishing his B.S. in Business Administration at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Jane Taylor is a 1981 graduate of the University of MD school of nursing, and also holds a Masters of Science in nursing education. She teaches in the nursing program at Stratford as well as at other area Universities. She currently teaches Pharmacology, Adult Health Nursing, Complex Nursing and NCLEX review. Jane has extensive clinical nursing experience, primarily in intensive care such as emergency, burn and medical/surgical nursing. She also teaches Kaplan NCLEX review courses in the community She is is a native of the Washington DC area where she lives with her husband, 2 dogs, and her 5 children when they are home from college, medical, and graduate school.

Mia Waldron is a nurse with almost 20 years of experience. She earned her BSN from Long Island University in New York and her MSN-Ed from the University of Phoenix. Mrs. Waldron is a pediatric nurse with clinical experience in both neonatal and pediatric intensive care, school health and nursing staff development. Academic experience includes pediatric clinical and didactic instruction in pediatric nursing for undergraduate pre-licensure programs. Dr. Ravi Rathnam is the Program Coordinator for the School of Health Sciences at Stratford University - Glen Allen Campus and has taught a wide variety of health science classes since October 2010. After finishing his medical education in India, he worked as a physician in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bethesda Lutheran Mission Hospital. He has an extensive five year teaching experience in providing both classroom and clinical instruction for nursing and allied health students, and is a certified by the American Heart Association to instruct First Aid/ CPR for health care providers. Most recently, he completed the US Medical Licensing Exams. As an advisory board member with the Virginia Commonwealth University HIV/AIDS center, he offers clinical care, social support, and a multidisciplinary clinical training, as well as reviews relevant prevention, clinical, and translational research. He was a Chief resident at a 4-year Orthopedics residency program and a medical faculty in General Orthopedics, hand, leprosy, Orthopedics, Oncology, Pediatric Orthopedics and Trauma surgery. In collaboratioan with an International Red Cross society, he organized an Orthopedics trauma unit of 600 beds. He was promoted to become Assistant Professor coordinating the teaching program for graduate orthopedics, surgical residents, undergraduate medical students, physiotherapy and orthopedics technicians at a Prosthetic and Orthotic training and rehabilitation center. He developed an interest in orthopedics oncology and founded a bone and soft tissue tumor registry unit, the first of its kind for research purposes.
