School of Health Sciences

The School of Health Sciences offers degrees in the field of health sciences with concentrations in

• Medical Assisting
• Clinical Hemodialysis Technology
• EKG-Phlebotomy Technology
• Medical Insurance Billing and Coding
• Pharmacy Technology

The objective is to give students the skills required for entry into the health science field. Students study the structure and function of the major body systems in conjunction with medical terminology. Students receive training and hands-on practice in clinical hemodialysis, electrocardiography, to include interpretations of arrhythmias, different venipuncture procedures, comprehensive medical billing and coding, dispensing medications, administrative skills, measuring vital signs, assisting with clinical procedures as well as infection control.
