School of Computer Information Systems

Welcome to the School of Computer Information Systems at Stratford University. The department offers MS programs in Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Assurance and Telecommunications. BS degrees in Information Science, Computer Security and Forensics, Network Engineering and Software Engineering are also available, along with AAS programs Network Management and Security, and Digital Design.

Faculty in the department have research interests in software engineering, computer networks, data communications, distributed computing, performance evaluation, contemporary programming, multimedia, graphics and visualization, databases, data mining, security, information systems, artificial intelligence, computer vision and robotics.

The mission of the School of Computer Information Systems is to educate students in the principles and practices of Computer Information Systems and prepare them for careers in software development and computing systems technology.

  • Core competencies required for industry certifications (like Microsoft, Cisco, Linux, Security, Web Design, Wireless) are embedded in the program
