That is why our culinary and hospitality programs include key business related topics, such as problem solving, hospitality human resource management, control systems, food and beverage operations, and managing for profitability.
Through our culinary and hospitality degree programs, you will access an accelerated path that will help you land a job or advance your career in the Culinary, Baking and Pastry or Hospitality industry. Specifically, you will access the practical and academic resources you need to excel, by:
- Learning the latest trends in food science, culinary techniques, and hospitality;
- Being exposed to diverse educational content (guest lectures, lab exercises, externships, etc.)
- Gaining hands on and technical experience;
- Developing problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills;

The School of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management offers Masters, Bachelor, and Associate degrees as well as a professional diploma. Many students choose to integrate an additional degree into their educational plan, such as Information Technology or Business Administration, to broaden their skill set.

Stratford has recruited some of the country’s leading culinary and hospitality practitioners to lead classroom instruction. All of our faculty have a Bachelor or Masters degree and possess an average of eight years in industry experience. These professionals have worked in some of the top restaurants and hotels throughout the U.S. and abroad. With their expertise, they are equipped to teach the underlying theories of successful management, and are in tune with the skill sets and competencies employers require.
State-of the-Art Learning Environments
Stratford offers state-of-the-art teaching facilities that provide the perfect setting for developing and honing your culinary and hospitality skills. Our culinary and baking kitchens are equipped with tools and equipment found in commercial facilities and are used for time-tested classical preparations and teaching the trendiest most modern techniques. Our facilities accommodate small, hands-on lab activities and are designed to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing between instructors and students.
Residential classes are offered day, evening, and weekends to accommodate your busy schedule. All residential classes are blended with a portion of the course delivered online to reduce the time in the classroom. You can complete a class in five or ten weeks and start your program five times a year (January, March, May, August, and September). The accelerated programs at Stratford University allow students to finish a Bachelors degree in 30 months or a Masters degree in 15 months.
Culinary and hospitality students requiring housing should consider attending the Stratford University Baltimore campus. This campus has excellent student housing accommodations and is located near the world-famous Inner Harbor. The campus offers onsite parking and is easily accessible by public transportation.
