The School of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management offers programs to meet the diverse educational needs and professional goals of students, while at the same time meeting the changing needs of employers. Stratford University offers an internationally respected culinary and hospitality program. Our program caters to both the seasoned hospitality professional and newcomers to the industry. The hospitality program emphasizes Hospitality Human Resource Management, Control Systems, Food and Beverage Operations, and Managing for Profitability. The Culinary Arts program at Stratford University focuses on culinary skills, food science, and communication and problem solving skills. The program enjoys excellent placement rates because of the extensive employment opportunities in the area. Stratford University offers certification through the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association. The Culinary Arts AAS accredited by the American Culinary Federation. Stratford University was an IACP finalist for School of the Year 2002

All faculty have earned Bachelor or Master's Degree and have an average of 8 years professional experience. Our faculty members are able to teach not only the underlying theory, but also the competencies demanded by employers.

Effective Educational Environment

Students receive individualized attention in small classes. Classrooms equipped with a computer for each student. Lab exercises available via remote access. The program enjoys excellent placement rates because of the extensive employment opportunities in the area. Many students can combine information technology and business in order to broaden their skill set.

Scheduling Flexibility

Residential classes are offered day, evening, and weekends to match your busy schedule. All residential classes are blended with a portion of the course delivered online to reduce the time in the classroom. You can complete a class in only ten weeks and start your program five times a year. The accelerated programs at Stratford University allow students to finish a Bachelors degree in 30 months or a Masters degree in 15 months.
