Stratford University appoints Dr. Richelle Johnson campus dean at Woodbridge campus

 

FALLS CHURCH, VIRGINIA – (May 7, 2012) – Stratford University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Richelle Johnson as the campus dean of its Woodbridge campus.

A native of North Carolina, Dr. Johnson earned a Bachelor degree from North Carolina Central University in Child Development/ Family Relations, and a Master of Science degree from North Carolina Central University in Human Sciences. She has earned a doctoral degree from Capella University with emphasizes in Higher Education Leadership. The dissertation research in the Role of Leadership in Teacher Attrition has led her to take a leading-edge approach to preparing education leaders and practitioners for the exciting challenges in education. She has taught as an associate professor in the areas of Educational Psychology, Critical Thinking, Special Education, Curriculum Development and Assessment Development in Education at Wake Technical Community College, Shaw University, Ashford University and Kaplan University.

Dr. Johnson’s areas of interest have been and continue to be the teaching and assessment of writing; differentiated instruction; along with a keen appreciation for the influence of technology and leadership role in education. She is thrilled to be a professional educator at a time when the virtual classroom is coming into its own. During her years in education, she always lives by the words of Marva Collins, “Failure is not an Option.”
